December 2020 Show and Tell

Here are a few details about some of the projects featured below.

Mitchell Holt- 29 x 34 x 2/12 camphor Sanded to 150 grit, applied 5 coats of lacquer, applied masking tape, lasered 2 times (1 hour 10 minutes each time), applied 3 coats of lacquer over lasered area, spray painted blue and black 4 to 5 coats, after paint dried I removed the masking tape, 3 more coats of lacquer. 

Marvin Elgin- Padauk Bowl from the Walls wood sale at Smith Mountain Lake meeting.

Mike Moore- First picture Tina hand decorated the Maple and Walnut ornament, the other two are Ambuya burl and Ebony . Second picture, color wood and Oak. Third picture, Spalted Maple, black color wood with red dye.

Vern Danielsen The finial box is maple with a purple heart insert and foot. African blackwood finial. The weed pot is a banksia pod. The weeds are extra.

Mike Preston-photos of a table I made for my daughter. The table dimensions 8 feet long, 33 inches wide, the top is Gondola Aviles. The legs and stretcher is Maple. The butterfly inserts are Brazilian Cherry.
