Directions to the Smith Mountain Lake Woodturners Club meeting location at the Scruggs Fire and Rescue Station, 2138 Bluewater Drive, Moneta, VA

From Roanoke, VA:

Southbound on Interstate Route 81 take exit 143 on left side of highway to VA Route 581. Northbound on Interstate Route 81 take exit 143 on right side of highway to VA Route 581. Continue on 581 and take Exit 6 and stay to the left side of ramp. Turn left onto Elm Ave (VA Route 24) at top of ramp. Go approx. 3 miles on Route 24 and look for several fast food restaurants and then a Kroger grocery store on the right. Near the second traffic light after Kroger, Route 24 curves to the left and Hardy Road (VA Route 634) veers off to the right. Take Hardy Road and go Approx 16 miles to Booker T. Washington Highway (VA Route 122). Turn left onto Route 122 and go approx. 2.2 miles to Scruggs Road (VA Route 616) and turn right. Go approx. 5 miles and look for the Bluewater Café restaurant on the right and an Exxon station on the left. Take a right turn opposite the Exxon station onto Bluewater Drive (VA Route 942). The firehouse is just a short way down on the left, past the new firehouse.

From Bedford, VA and points North:

Travel south on Booker T. Washington Highway (VA Route 122) approx 16 miles and cross over the Hales Ford Bridge at Smith Mountain Lake. Continue approx. 4 miles to Scruggs Road (VA Route 616) and turn left. Go approx. 5 miles and look for the Bluewater Café restaurant on the right and an Exxon station on the left. Take a right turn opposite the Exxon station onto Bluewater Drive (VA Route 942). The firehouse is just a short way down on the left, past the new firehouse.

From Rocky Mount, VA and points South:

Go north on Booker T. Washington Highway (VA Route 122) approx. 14.5 miles to the Westlake area of Smith Mountain Lake. Take a right turn onto Scruggs Road (VA Route 616) and go approx. 5 miles and look for the Bluewater Café restaurant on the right and an Exxon station on the left. Take a right turn opposite the Exxon station onto Bluewater Drive (VA Route 942). The firehouse is just a short way down on the left, past the new firehouse.
